Its all about the Teachers!

Hmm... we've been asked about who is teaching at Asilomar 2017. Hmm.. didn't we already announce some names? We must have been dancing!

We’re very pleased to announce that Sue Porter joins the lineup for the Fall Asilomar Weekend 2017.

This will be the first Asilomar Weekend for Sue Porter of Oban, Scotland who most recently served as the Convenor of the RSCDS Education & Training Committee. Sue has taught in Canada, Japan, New Zealand, USA and Europe, and is looking forward to coming to Asilomar, meeting you in class and partnering you at the social dancing.

Fred DeMarse of Alameda, California also joins the lineup of Teachers this Fall. Fred is returning to the Asilomar Weekend. Fred is well known as a highland dance teacher and teaches Scottish country dance at workshops around the world. He is presently the Chairman of the RSCDS International Branch and a member of the performance group, The Red Thistle Dancers.
