Welcome Home Fred!

We are delighted to welcome back our very own San Francisco Branch member, Fred DeMarse to the Asilomar Weekend where his classes are much sought after! (1998, 2001, 2008).

Originally from Michigan, Fred moved to California in 1984, started Scottish country and highland dancing shortly thereafter, and later earned his teaching credentials. Fred teaches both Scottish country and highland dancing to all ages locally, in the USA and internationally. Fred is also a Highland dance judge, a member of the local performance group, the Red Thistle Dancers, and is presently serving as the Chairman of the RSCDS International Branch which promotes Scottish country dancing around the world.

Fred’s viewpoint on teaching and dancing is to have fun and to make it fun for others. His ultimate goal is to impart his knowledge and the desire to dance well while creating a social environment that is friendly and supportive. We're all really looking forward to welcoming Fred back home to Asilomar this coming November!
