Wrapping up the Holidays!

You may recall that we post the dances our teachers use in class on our web-page. Each year we ask our teachers to let us have the list of dances they taught, and this year we got them in record time, actually within a week. That was so awesome. The 2015 faculty sure set the bar quite high!

As we headed toward the holidays, we looked for something fun and different to do, and past dances taught came up as something we could share with you. This project had to be manageable, after all, it is the holiday season! And it had to be fun! We chose 24 dances so that we could share one each day throughout Advent.

On our Facebook page, we revealed a dance taught by one of our teachers at a past Asilomar Weekend — some from long ago, back in the 1960's and some a lot more recent. We shared a picture and revealed more details about the dance, the teacher who taught it on our Facebook and the crib when we could locate it.

Today our Advent Calendar of past dances is complete! We loved planning the series and learning about the dances, the teachers why the dance was selected, and sharing something about each dance with our Facebook followers and fans.

We already have ideas for next year :)  Happy holidays everyone.
