We are very pleased that Chandi McCracken of Minneapolis, MN will join the teaching staff for the 2017 Asilomar Weekend.
Chandi started Highland dancing at the age of 5 and loved joining in the ceilidh dances led by her grandfather. During graduate studies, in Portland she joined the RSCDS Portland branch. She later joined the Twin Cities branch where she started teacher training, in part to help her father continue the McCracken-led ceilidh dancing around the Twin Cities. Chandi earned her RSCDS teaching certificate in 2011, and now teaches and call ceilidhs, upholding the family tradition and spreading the love of Scottish dancing.
A past TAC Bob Blackie Scholar (2012), Chandi performs Scottish step and highland dancing, dances Cape Breton step and swing! We can't wait to welcome Chandi back to the West Coast, and to Asilomar this November!
