Joy of dance & the feeling that stays with us

The dance may be over, the applause subsided, but the joy and the feeling we get from dancing stay with us! How true.

We're thrilled to share the first of three videos filmed by our very own San Francisco Branch member Bob Branstrom of Reel Gratitude, shot at the Asilomar Weekend last October 2016. Here's dancers on Saturday night, whooping it up, Scottish Country Dance style to Capelthwaite and the incredible music of Tullogorum: Anne Hooper, Barbara McOwen, Robert McOwen, Terry Traub and Campbell Webster.

We can't get enough of this music. It makes us just want to get up and dance this all over again! Barbara tells us that dance devisor Claudette Sigg had suggested The Kings Reel as the title tune, so the band played a long string of traditional-style Cape Breton reels. You can't lose when you've got good tunes as the dancers can attest!
